Fork in the Road Presents: Hawthorn & Hayley Sabella

  • Bramhalls Country Store 2 Sandwich Road Plymouth, MA, 02360 United States (map)

The inside of Bramhall's will be transformed into a listening room of eclectic chairs and good vibes. Guests are welcome to come early and get food at the take-out window, or bring their dinner and ice cream inside for the show. There will be a cash bar with beer & wine!

Hawthorn: The women of Hawthorn weave melodic layers into harmonies pulled from traditional folk roots. Their mutual love of the natural world, storytelling, and community moves them to create music colored by both external and internal landscapes. The Hawthorn tree, native to their own New England and their ancestral homelands of the British Isles, is said to be inhabited by the fairies, serving as a portal to the spirit world. Through the meeting of Heather and Taylor’s individual experiences, joined by bassist Alex Gasser and an evolving community of Boston’s finest instrumentalists, Hawthorn creates magical blends of sound that are passionately full: of vibrancy, of tenderness, of strength.

Hayley Sabella: Hayley Sabella is a singer-songwriter / local farmer / independent woman / dork. She is a child of the nineties who plays a children's guitar from the sixties. Standing 5'2'', she bellows "I'm big on the inside!" Her voice is described as “honeyed, but with a mild rasp” and it’s the first you may notice. But with the learned ability to combine finger-style picking with rhythmic strumming patterns, she hollows out the space for her careful lyrics to resonate, making you feel both earthbound and untethered.
